Kids
USA v. Argentina

Well, Good thing I didn't tell anyone about this
experiment. We have had so many troubles with our new
host (Dreamhost) over the past few months, I didn't
really want to spend too much time with this. In the
meantime Atoms soccer club, Manhattan Kickers FC,
went to see the USA versus Argentina Match at Giants
stadium this past sunday. What a blast.
Through Argentina's less then stellar play, Tim Howards wall of steel, and USA's best recent performance (the return of Donovan?) we managed to pull off a 0-0 tie against the top ranked national team. Each team receiving a red card in the 2nd half (US first!) combined with a high energy nail biter finish and topped of with an instant downpour including thunder and lightning, all made for a game that was much more memorable than 0-0 tie would leave you to believe.
Here are some snapshots from the game. I'm sorry about the quality, but I was too focused on the game to worry about the focus of the camera. Sue me!

Back to the Creek

Atom and I made two trips to mountain creek this past
week. It has been 2 or 3 years since we went last
time, and it was a much need little break. On the
first day we took his friend Zen and my buddy Bill
with us, unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of
that trip. On the second day, Cal and Zachary from
school (and the Kickers) came with us to try
snowboarding for the first time. Both days I enrolled
the kids in an all-day camp so I managed to get a
quite a few runs in. Bill and I had a good time
roaming the mountain (hill?) looking for some runs
that weren't too icy. Here are the
Pictures. And a movie.
